− | My favorite demo to view in the [http://pundit.pratt.duke.edu/wiki/Matlab MATLAB] help guide was the "Viewing a Penny" demo within the Graphics category. I looked over the steps of the demo, which use measurements made at the National Institute of Standards and Technology of the mold used to create pennies on a 128x128 grid. The demo shows many graphics, including contour and pseudocolor plots to create graphics that resemble a penny. I think it is very interesting to see how even the microscopic differences in depth between the contours of Lincoln's face, for example, can be used to create a remarkably accurate graphic.
