I plan on majoring in BME and hopefully I will soon figure out whether I want to take on another major or minor and what that subject might be. In my free time I actively avoid sports, watch anime and youtube videos, and hangout with people and figure out what they're up to for the day whether they are friends or strangers. | + | My name is [http://translate.google.com/translate_tts?tl=en&q=%22parth%20patel%22 Parth Patel], a new freshman here at Duke. About Me
My name is Parth Patel, a new freshman here at Duke. I'm from the Charlotte area from a small private school called Gaston Day School. I plan on majoring in BME and hopefully I will soon figure out whether I want to take on another major or minor and what that subject might be. In my free time I actively avoid sports, watch anime and youtube videos, and hangout with people and figure out what they're up to for the day whether they are friends or strangers.
Plans
Ummm.......Do all the things? Yeah, sure DO ALL THE THINGS!!! I will probably want to go get a Master's Degree and possibly a PhD and dive into research.

MATLAB Demos
I especially liked the game of life demo because I was already familiar with how John Conway's game worked. I loved seeing how complex situations can arise from just a few filled in squares and a set of rules. It's also fun to see small subsets of the larger game which have identifiable patterns, for example "floaters" and stable groups. Unfortunately, I was unable to figure out how to edit the code so I could interact with it, otherwise I might have played with it all night.
