Grand Challenges
I was especially interested in the article concerning genetic medicine. I have been interested in genetics since high school, and genetic medicine seems like an exciting, high-risk-high-reward field.
Weill Cornell experts publish review of genetic medicine, News Medical, created 3 April 2006, accessed 14 September 2014 (Grand Challenges for Engineering: Engineer better medicines)
My Favorite MATLAB Demonstration
My favorite MATLAB demonstration was the "Game of Life." I liked how the game was very simple, yet highly original. I also liked it because the fact that I have no idea of how to create two-dimensional images, much less how to make them move in a mathematical game, motivated me to study EGR103 so I can soon be capable of doing so. In addition, I was taken by surprise when a white window with black dots reminded me of how greatly my life is affected by external environments.
