My favorite MatLab demonstration is the "World Traveler" demonstration. I like it particularly because it's a clever application of a point tracing a path along the surface of a sphere. It covers a breadth of cities and the graphics aren't an eyesore. I want to be able to create a MatLab object like that someday.
