Grand Challenges

Water is a very precious resource and many developing nations have limited access to clean drinkable water. One of the Grand Challenges for Engineering is to develop ways to better provide water for the citizens of these nations to drink and use in their everyday lives.

Many engineers today are working to provide access to clean water for these nations, and many non-profit organizations help fund this progress. One engineer, Abraham Wright, has worked to design and install two highly effective water pumps in the Central African Republic.

Projects like Wright's use engineering to help those in need of water, thus working to solve one of the Grand Challenges.
