The grand challenge article I found interesting is [[1]], Jeremy Jacquot, science progress, Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008, 2/04/13 (Grand Challenge)
Looking through the matlab demonstrations, I was most interested in the one on 3-D plots. Admittedly, half of my interest stemmed from the fact that they provide a rainbow of colors, however, they also caught my eye because so far in EGR 103 we have only worked with 2D matrices, vectors and graphs. The fact that we can also make 3D models is EXCITING!
