My favorite demonstration was the 3-D Drawing demo. I love making shapes, building blocks, legoes, and K'nex, and drafting shapes on the computer. I find it really interesting to see how changing one point on the axis can make a completely different solid of revolution. With three vertical points, you can create a cylinder, and with a parabola shape, you can create a cup. It is fun to experiment and play around with programs such as this 3-D demo, just to see what can be created.

About Me

My name is Noura von Briesen, and I am a freshman at Duke. Originally I was declared as a CE major, but I've been thinking and decided to switch over to ME when the time comes to declare.
I love to bake (especially cookies, because there is a secret to making them that almost no one knows), play guitar, sing, and read. I have four younger siblings (and I'm not particularly nice to them, sadly).
I love Taylor Swift and any music that isn't rap, hip-hop, hard rock, or Top 40.
This year I'm starting on the walk-on women's rowing team, and am a member of the Muslim Students' Association.
And can I just say, I love this campus? It's amazing.

MATLAB Demonstrations

My favorite demonstration was the 3-D Drawing demo. I love making shapes, building blocks, legoes, and K'nex, and drafting shapes on the computer. I find it really interesting to see how changing one point on the axis can make a completely different solid of revolution. With three vertical points, you can create a cylinder, and with a parabola shape, you can create a cup. It is fun to experiment and play around with programs such as this 3-D demo, just to see what can be created.
