I thought it was interesting to see what routes it came up with between the randomly generated cities and how quickly it took. Just when it seemed like the final route had been established, it would make a small change until the shortest route was found. Also, i noticed that while the program was correct, the routes it chose based on shortest line distances might not necessarily be the best routes for real life, as some routes would have had the salesman traveling across the ocean in small stretches. | ||

About Me
I am from Murray, Kentucky, a town of roughly 20,000 which you will probably never heard of unless you care about college basketball in which case you might have heard of the Murray State Racers. I was born in Canada and moved to the U.S. when i was two.
Interests
I like to play football and swim. Also I really like to spend time outdoors hiking, four-wheeling, camping, and shooting. Stereotypical Kentucky I know but oh well.

MATLAB Demonstration
My favorite MATLAB demonstration was the Traveling Salesman Problem. I thought it was interesting to see what routes it came up with between the randomly generated cities and how quickly it took. Just when it seemed like the final route had been established, it would make a small change until the shortest route was found. Also, i noticed that while the program was correct, the routes it chose based on shortest line distances might not necessarily be the best routes for real life, as some routes would have had the salesman traveling across the ocean in small stretches.
