I grew up hearing about that earthquake so it was funny to encounter it here at Duke, on a MATLAB demo no less. Also it incorporated a lot of physics which showed me how multiple disciplines of science can overlap. |

I'm Morgan Gautho. I'm from California and I'm undeclared in the Pratt School of Engineering. I'm living in Bell Tower this year and I'm not sure what I want to do yet but I'm happy to be here at Duke to figure it out!
Pronunciation
My first name is pretty straightforward but my last name is pronounced like "Goat-toe".

MATLAB Demo
My favorite MATLAB demo was the Loma Prieta Earthquake one under Mathematics. I particularly enjoyed this one because I live in the Santa Cruz mountains so the data was close to home. I grew up hearing about that earthquake so it was funny to encounter it here at Duke, on a MATLAB demo no less. Also it incorporated a lot of physics which showed me how multiple disciplines of science can overlap.
