About Me

Hi there! My name is Alicia and I am a first year student studying engineering. I haven’t decided what I'm going to major in but I am leaning towards BME. In my free time I enjoy skydiving, surfing and pretty much any extreme sport. My favorite place to spend time is the beach, especially when it isn’t excessively hot. I love Italian food but am always free for a coffee date with friends.

Name Pronunciation

In English, Alicia is pronounced Uh-leash-uh, but in spanish, my name is ah-Lee-see-uh.

Grand Challenges

The National Academy of Engineering has set 14 goals which identify the most pressing current issues. Many groups have worked to create solutions to these problems and in turn reach these goals. One specific goal is to provide access to clean water to communities throughout the world. Many projects have worked to tackle this problem, one being Majik Water, founded in Kenya. To learn more about this project click on the link below.
