About Me
I am student with interests in both the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and the Biomedical Engineering Department of the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University. I graduated from Lake Mary High School, near Orlando, Florida, and aspire to eventually earn a masters (and hopefully Ph.D.) with a focus on health informatics.
Name Pronunciation
From what I gather, my name pronunciation causes a lot of discontent with others. My parents pronounce my name as "Drew Duh-don-ee-uh" but people more in touch with their cultural heritage tend to prefer to call me "Duhroov Duh-don-ee-uh". The difference is truly inconsequential to me and I respond to both.
Current Courses
In the 2017 Fall Semester, I am studying the following courses:
- EGR 103: Computational Methods in Engineering
- STA 130: Probability and Statistics in Engineering
- Math 212: Multivariable Calculus
- Chem 201: Organic Chemistry 1
Grand Challenges for Engineering Article
Health Informatics: Current Issues and Challenges, Peter A. Bath, Sage Journals, 13 June 2008, accessed 20 September 2017 (Advance health informatics)
Interestingly, the advancement of health informatics is what I want to do with my life at this point. Though I've been told that picking an intended career so early on to college is useless (as it will surely change and may limit the scope of my experiences), that is my current goal for the future.
